Eating a light lunch or snack is helpful to avoid low blood sugar. Avoid alcohol and too much caffeine. Use the restroom.

Fill out the necessary forms so that I may have the information necessary to perform the best treatment possible.

What to expect:

You will be asked to fill out a liability waiver and an intake form. Please identify the top 3 areas of pain or discomfort in your body. Write down any other important information that may assist in creating an appropriate acupuncture session.

There might be a small sensation as the needles are inserted, but generally the discomfort dissipates quickly.

Very often patients feel relaxed and they do not feel the needles at all within a few minutes.

It is helpful to avoid unnecessary movement during the duration of the treatement. Movement may cause discomfort as the needles press against a nerve.

After the needles are inserted, a minimum of 30-45 minutes is required to gain the full benefit of the treatment.
